I know what you are thinking, "What?, Cup-cakes for animals?" You have got it wrong, read this and find out what I am talking about...
On Monday the 30
th of August I supported the SPCA for Cup-Cake day. I made some Pink cup-cakes with animal decorations on them. I sold them at school for $2.00 each and any other donations were accepted. This is what I did:
Buy stuff I need
Make up cup-cake mix
Cook cup-cakes
Ice them and decorate them
Take them to school
Sell cup-cakes
Count money raised
Send money to the SPCA
Done!
It was that easy, if you want to know more about Cup-Cake Day next year on the 20
th of August 2011 go to: http://www.spcacupcakeday.co.nz/ and sign up!
Here is recipe for Cup-cakes dogs can eat!
Pupcakes
Here’s a special occasion, sweet treat for your pups. Remember, to serve up these doggy cupcakes in moderation, we don't’ want your poodle addicted to strudel!
2 3/4 cups water
1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups wholemeal flour
1 cup dried apple pieces - you can also use fresh fruit
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cage free egg, beaten slightly
4 tablespoons honey
Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Spray muffin tin with cooking spray.
Mix all wet ingredients thoroughly. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients slowly , scraping well to make sure no dry mix-ture is left.
Pour into muffin tins.
Bake for 1 1/4 hours. Insert a toothpick into the centre of a pupcake and if it comes out dry, they are
ready to come out of the oven.
Wait until cooled to serve.
Store in a sealed container.
Makes around 12-14 pupcakes.
